Amazon.com Hands-On Review
Children love to have tea parties with siblings, parents, friends, and their favorite dolls or stuffed animal companions. This Say Please tea set is a delightful way to introduce babies and toddlers aged 6-36 months to pretend play and sharing, while helping them learn important skills like counting, shapes, opposites, good manners, and more!
Silly sounds, fun songs, and surprising discoveries help make teatime memorable!
Encourages problem-solving, counting, sharing, and good manners, like saying, “Please” and “Thank you!”Musical Surprises ; Learning Fun Chunky styling and smiling faces make the Say Please Tea Set especially baby-friendly. And it’s full of musical surprises that every age will appreciate. The magic starts when the teapot lid opens to play silly sounds and share special greetings. Tip the pot and the fun “bubbles over,” sounding as if you’re really pouring tea! Pressing on the teabag produces more sound effects and charming sing-along songs, encouraging baby to take turns and even learning to say “please” and “thank you.” There are three different modes to enjoy: Learning mode encourages counting and opposites; Music mode has fun sing-a-longs; and Imagination mode focuses on role play.
Imaginative Play, With Developmental Benefits The Say Please Tea Set’s classic theme introduces baby to early role play and social skills. Sing-along songs ; phrases help baby learn about manners and sharing. Tea Set comes with three teatime treats shaped like a circle, triangle and square, which fit perfectly on matching sections of the serving plate. This encourages shape sorting and problem-solving play. To help make the most of your teatime together, try talking to your baby as you play, to help her associate words with actions. “I’m pouring tea into the cup. Can you open the lid?” Or count the treats as you show your child how to place them on the tray. Then let her give it a try. Best of all, invite friends (like dolls) to share in the fun of a tea party. Be sure to use extra-nice manners, and make sure to say, “Please!”
Other Ways to Laugh ; Learn Babies learn more when they feel at home. Combining familiar objects, everyday discoveries, and your baby’s never-ending sense of wonder are the basis of the Laugh ; Learn collection of toys. Make learning more fun with Laugh ; Learn favorites like the Dance ; Play Puppy, the Sweet Sounds Picnic, and the Smilin’ Smart Phone.

Perfect as a first tea set February 10, 2009

Durability: Educational: Fun:
This is such a cute little tea set. A friend of mine bought this for my daughter's first birthday. It is a perfect first tea set. Like the other reviewer mentioned, it is not meant to be used with liquids - which is perfectly fine with me! Less mess! The teapot is the cutest part... there are three different settings: one that just has cute sounds when you "pour" the tea, when you lift/close the lid, and when you press the "tag". The other two settings have various sounds or music and songs that go along with the actions. My daughter is only 12 months old, so pretend play is still somewhat of a foreign concept to her. But we have fun exploring all the sounds the pot makes. She likes to "cheers" the tea cups with me, and she will "take a sip" from the cup and go "Ahhhh" at the end. I imagine she will grow into this toy a little more in the next few months!UPDATE: Still a favorite toy at 27 months! She sings along with the teapot, and will set up all of her stuffed animals and offer them tea. It is just too cute. We have other tea sets, but she still gets this "pot" to pour since it makes all the sounds!

LITTLE TEAPOT, SHORT AND STOUT TOO CUTE! August 22, 2009
By Pamela A. Poddany VINE™ VOICE
Durability: Educational: Fun:
FISHER-PRICE LAUGH ; LEARN TEA SETWhat a wonderful toy for any child! We bought this play set for our two year old grand daughter. What fun she has with it. The teapot is very durable and plays music, teaches manners, shapes, all in a delightful English accent. When you pour from the pot you can hear the tea coming out. Or -- you can shut the pot off and let your child use their own imagination. Which Paige does! She walks around 'watering' my plants and 'refilling the dogs water dish' with her tea pot. The tea pot has a sweet little face and comes in the favorite colors of many little girls, purple and pink. Also included are two purple tea cups which do not hold water. And that is OK! Who needs the mess? There is also a charming little plate with three desserts included. They are in three different shapes so little ones can learn how to place them correctly on the pink plate. Paige enjoys 'serving' us each a dessert or we have found them sitting on the kitchen table placed at everyone's seat. Learning can be fun! This is a sweet little tea set for any little girl who will be learning while having so much fun. Must go! Time for another tea party!Thank you.Pam

Good toy but has limited play value. First one defective. February 11, 2010

Durability: Educational: Fun:
I got this for my 18 month old daughter for Christmas. The first one we got was defective. One of the modes didn't work at all. So we got a replacement directly from FP. The new one worked but for some reason the voice was more "sped up". I don't know why this is. None of the stores have it sped up. But on to the toy.The construction is good. My daughter has thrown it around a bunch and it still works fine. I like that it has "please and thank you's" included. Not very many toys teach these kind of things. I guess I wouldn't say it teaches it, it more reinforces it.My daughter plays with it very occassionally. Mostly she just plays the music with the button. It is pretty limited in terms of play value but it does what it advertises.I like the tip and pour motion. It is a good mimic for the child of pouring a real pot into a glass.I would reccomend buying this but don't expect it to have a long term replay value. It's an occassional use toy but it is very cute!
