Product Description
From the Manufacturer
Get ready to call up some fun while calling up friends! Each time baby flips the phone open, a mouse, kitty and puppy take turns appearing with a friendly “Hello!” Pressing buttons plays 3 ring tones or musical key tones. And of course, closing the phone means it’s time to say “Good-bye.” Includes 3 button cell batteries.
Watching your baby develop new skills is one of the most rewarding parts of having children, this Fisher-Price Flip Phone lets you take a more active role in that development. Introduce your baby to the art of conversation when you chat with them using this friendly flip phone. Say hello, use your baby's name, and then see what happens! Each time your baby flips the phone open, the screen cycles between three exciting friends for them to chat with. Show your baby how to open and close the phone, and the rewards will encourage an understanding of cause and effect. Pressing the buttons plays one of three ringtones, or musical key tones. This great education toy encourages the development of motor skills. Flipping the phone open and pressing the buttons teaches hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. It also enhances learning through discovery by encouraging you baby to vocalize and develop language skills. Recommended for children 6 months and older. Requires 3 button cell batteries (included)

Great Play Phone November 25, 2007
By K. Penhoet
Amazon Verified Purchase
Durability: Educational: Fun:
We were looking for a simple play telephone for our twins..something without a lot of lights and crazy sounds. This telephone is exactly what we were looking for! The voice that says "hello" and "good-bye" uses the correct inflections and the button sounds are very realistic. The songs play for a very short period of time and, as parents, we appreciate that...all-around, I would buy this toy again in a heartbeat

Fun for short periods, fairly durable August 28, 2009
By Sunshine
Durability: Educational: Fun:
My 15-month old son received this phone as a gift when he was 6 months old. He didn't use it much back at 6 months, but steadily his interest in it grew. He always prefers to play with my cell phone, but if I spend 30 seconds or so talking on this toy one, he'll gladly take it for a little while. It's not the kind of toy that can amuse a child for very long, maybe 5 minutes tops (which is why I knock it down 1 star), and it really doesn't teach much, but the compact size is perfect for throwing in your bag/stroller with a few other small toys for those moments when you need to pull out something to distract your child. As others state, the greetings are nice, very clear. Every button makes a sound, and the music is both short and pleasant to the ear. I often find Fisher Price toys very poorly/cheaply made, but this one is really quite good. It's been dropped on our hardwood floors many times, and it still works almost perfectly (the music is slightly out of tune now, probably because of the internal battery wearing down).

BPA in the toy September 22, 2011
By Lola Gogol
Durability: Educational: Fun:
My 7 month old was given several Fisher Price toys as a gift. The boxes didn't say whether or not they contained toxic chemicals such as BPA or pthalates, so I called the company. They said that BPA is used in their toys, but not in their high chairs. Sad! A trusted company that sells products for babies (who put everything in their mouths!) should NOT be putting toxic materials in the products.
