I was in a hurry to buy my toddler some crayons that he couldn't easily snap in half. So I looked up "toddler crayons" and these came up; therefore, I simply assumed they were! Clearly I was wrong and swayed by the crayola brand. My son enjoyed throwing them around and putting them in a big pile, so they serve the purpose they were created for. But I must say, this shape would be awesome for toddler crayons!

I have an 8 month old and a 5 year old, and they both play with these! Heck, my husband and I play with them too! The baby doesn't build with them so much as manipulate them and stick them in his mouth. These are made of a plastic/rubber material that is sort of soft on baby's mouth and does not leave chew marks. My 5 year old likes to stack them and likes that there are so many colors. We love our jumbles!

Someone bought this for my son's 1st birthday thinking they were baby crayons. They are not crayons but plastic snap together blocks for ages 6mos+. I don't think my almost 12mos son will care for them but we can use them for color teaching and maybe later he will like to snap them together. I don't know why Amazon has these showing in a search for "baby crayons" which is misleading.

These are very cute. They are good for grasping as a younger baby and good for building as an older baby.

Infant toy
This toy is more of a infant toy.... I bought this when my daughter was 1 and she was a little too old for it. I say get this when they are a baby.
